1.Detection algorithm
HCCD sensors support a variety of
different algorithms, namely: color, monochrome, monochrome
binarization, luminous flux integration, side light. The monochrome
algorithm has the highest processing speed and is suitable for extremely
low contrast edges or simple lines, especially for the heel of the
transparent material. The color algorithm uses white light to illuminate
the material and captures a color image. This algorithm shows that it
is suitable for the correction of complex patterns (rich colors).
2.Automatic exposure
After
enabling (checking) the automatic exposure of the exposure mode, the
HCCD sensor can automatically set the appropriate exposure time and lSO
value according to the image color and brightness of the material to
make the image clear.
3.Manual exposure
After
enabling (checking) the manual exposure of the exposure mode, the user
can adjust the brightness and contrast of the image until a
satisfactory image is seen.
4.High contrast option
In auto exposure mode, when the high contrast is enabled (checked), the image becomes brighter.
5.Global metering / center metering
In auto exposure mode, global metering and center metering can be selected. Global metering: Metering the entire image, automatically adjusting the optimal exposure time, contrast and brightness. Center metering: After selecting the center metering mode, a pair of brackets [] will be displayed in the image display area. The sensor will meter the image in the [] area to automatically adjust the optimal brightness and contrast. Center metering is more suitable for tracking extremely low contrast edges. Move the edge or line to be tracked to the metering area in [] and let the sensor calculate the image with the highest contrast.

Press the <Calibration Target> button to enter the calibration procedure. The HCCD sensor will emit two laser lines with different angles to assist the focus. As shown in the figure below, when the two laser lines coincide, the distance between the HCCD sensor and the material is the optimal distance. The focus is just on the surface of the material. In addition, the appropriate illumination angle needs to be selected according to different material properties. It is generally divided into two cases:
