The NAC type (standard type) air-pressure through-shaft pneumatic clutch is connected by air pressure and is released by a return spring. The disc slides in the axial direction by the air pressure and contacts the friction plate. A disc, a friction plate, etc. are assembled to the hub to form an integrated structure. The friction plate can be disassembled by unscrewing the adjusting nut, and the exchange is simple.

(1). Precautions when installing the air clutch

When installing the air clutch on the shaft and installing a V-shaped pulley, sprocket, etc. on the drive disc, do not excessively impact the clutch. After installation, make sure that the gap between the disc and the friction plate is between 0.5 and 0.8 mm.

(2). Involving rotation

In the air chamber, the piston portion is caused to rotate by the bearing, and the attached special pipe for the pneumatic pipe with the joint (the rubber tube for oil pressure) is prevented from occurring. NAC40, 60, according to different conditions of use, insert the spring pin into the pin hole of the piston to prevent the rotation.

(3). Lubrication of the bearing part

The replenishment interval of the grease of the thrust ball bearing of the NAC type pneumatic clutch is usually 1 to 6 months depending on the use environment. Since other bearings use sealed bearings, there is no importance of replenishment.

(4). Clutch hydraulic control device installation size and small shaft length

Install the center of the V-shaped pulley or the like as far as possible from the end face of the hydraulic control unit. When the air clutch is mounted to the shaft end, it is placed to a small extent on the inner diameter surface of the hub.
