For the production of coated paper, both in-machine coating and off-machine coating require uniform and fast coating. The determination of the amount of coating is extremely important for the quality of the product; proper control of the amount of coating can optimize production. Therefore, it is necessary to select a better measurement and control method of the coating amount.

With the development of processing paper production technology and the updating of coated paper processing equipment, the detection and control of paper tension between various production equipments in the coating production process is an important technical measure to improve product quality and output. Therefore, in the control of the electromechanical performance of the coater, the key is the tension control of the coater system, because the magnitude of the tension directly affects the quality and quantity of the product: too much tension will destroy the physical properties of the coated paper. Characteristics, affecting the service life of the paper and the quality of the product; the tension is too small, the winding is too loose, the paper is not stable, and the quality of the products in the subsequent process is affected.
The entire tension control system of the coater consists of four parts, namely the detection part, the control part, the drive part and the actuator. The detecting part is composed of a tension sensor and a tension amplifying circuit; the tension control part is composed of mutually independent microcomputer processing units; the driving part is composed of an AC frequency converter and a steady current power source; and the actuator is composed of an alternating current motor and a magnetic powder brake.
