This characteristic determines that the magnetic powder clutch and the magnetic powder brake can be applied. Applications that require frequent start and stop and reversal. Special needs can be further optimized by mechanical parts and improved loading power to increase response speed. Taking the 5kgm magnetic powder brake as an example, its non-response time is 25ms, and its torque rise and fall time is 270ms and 350ms respectively.
The torque control range of the magnetic powder brake and the magnetic powder clutch is between the rated torque and the product idle torque* (2 to 100% of the rated torque). Idling torque: Due to the loss of torque in the bearing and seal inside the product, even if the field current is set to 0A, the torque will not be 0N·m. This idle torque is typically 2% of the rated torque.
