Feed motor: The feed roller is driven by the feed motor to transfer the long material from left to right. The speed of the feed motor determines the transfer speed, independent of the tension. When the tension is increased, a motor with a large output power is required.
Winding portion (magnetic powder brake): The tension of the winding portion is determined by the braking torque of the magnetic powder brake provided in the winding portion.
In order to ensure a certain tension, the braking torque needs to be reduced as the winding diameter decreases.
Winding section: In order to prevent the slack of the material and cause tension, it is necessary to set the input turning speed of the magnetic powder clutch to ensure that the motor turning speed of the winding side needs to be faster than the line speed. The tension on the take-up side is determined by the moment when the magnetic powder clutch slips.
In order to maintain a certain tension, the torque of the magnetic powder clutch needs to be increased according to the winding diameter. Moreover, it is necessary to make the input rotation speed of the magnetic powder clutch larger than the maximum output rotation speed (at the time of the minimum winding diameter).
Therefore, the input slew speed is low at the same time as the coil thickness, and the slip speed of the clutch (the difference between the input swing speed and the output swing speed) increases.
