Precautions for the selection and installation of magnetic powder brakes:

Before selecting the type, first determine the purpose of use, such as load, continuous sliding, winding, tension control, start, stop, and so on. There are also performance requirements such as heat dissipation, torque, response speed, control accuracy, and control range. Then select the appropriate model specifications according to your needs.

When installing the magnetic powder brake, avoid installation deviation. The upper pressing gland should be carried out after the coupling is aligned. The bolt should be evenly supported to prevent the end face of the gland from being skewed. Check the points with a feeler gauge. The error is not more than 0.05 mm. . Check the fit clearance between the gland and the outer diameter of the shaft or bushing. The circumference should be uniform. Check the tolerance of each point with a feeler gauge of no more than 0.01 mm.

The magnetic powder brake uses magnetic powder as the working medium. Due to its constant torque and fast response, it can be rapidly developed and widely used. The magnetic powder brake excitation current is proportional to the torque, so the torque can be controlled by adjusting the excitation current.

The water-cooled magnetic powder brake and the water outlet of the clutch shall not be under pressure after the clutch is turned. The rotor with water-cooled magnetic powder brake has a small drop of water at the inner end of the outlet pipe. If the dripping water is found, the water seal of the same type should be replaced in time, and should not be blocked. Naturally cooled or air-cooled brakes, clutches, and surface temperatures must not exceed 70 degrees and can be forced to cool with a fan or blower. If the balance is large, the rotation speed is low, and the surface temperature is low, the water may not pass.

Due to the torque, the magnetic powder brake is established with the establishment of the excitation current and the magnetic field. After a very small non-response time, it starts from zero and rises exponentially. Therefore, it not only responds quickly, but also has no impact, no vibration, and no noise during the magnetic powder brake and clutch starting/braking. The magnetic powder brake operates extremely safely: it adopts the static structure of the coil without slip ring, the feeding is reliable, no spark, easy to install and use, safe and reliable.
