There are four types of sensor manufacturing processes, namely integrated sensors, thin film sensors, thick film sensors and ceramic sensors.

The difference is that the thick film sensor is on a ceramic substrate, and the coating is stopped with a slurry of sensitive materials. Thick film sensors are mostly made of alumina, and thermal processing is stopped after the coating is formed, so that thick films can be formed.

The ceramic material used in ceramic sensors is precision ceramics, also known as high-tech ceramics. The manufacture of ceramic sensors is mainly based on standard ceramic processes or sol processes.
