Magnetic powder clutches and magnetic high-precision torque control powder brakes are indispensable components in modern mechanical equipment, and they realize power transmission and rotation control through the principle of magnetic force. Both devices rely on the magnetoresistive effect of magnetic powders to achieve transmission and braking, and have a wide range of applications.
Magnetic powder clutches and non-shock magnetic powder brakes work very similarly, they are both composed of magnetic powder and iron core. The difference between them is that the clutch controls the transmission by adjusting the strength of the electromagnetic field, while the brake regulates the on-off of the electromagnetic field to achieve braking. When the magnetic powder is filled between the two rotating devices by electromagnetic field, the magnetic powder will form a thin magnetic powder film under the action of the magnetic field, so that the two rotating devices will make contact and realize clutching or braking.
Magnetic powder brakes have been widely used in papermaking, printing, plastics, rubber, textile, printing and dyeing, wire and cable, metallurgy, tablet press and other related winding processing industries in unwinding and winding tension control.
Magnetic powder clutches can also be used for buffer starting, overload protection, speed regulation, etc. Suitable for high-frequency work magnetic powder brakes are also often used for dynamometer loading and braking of transmission machinery. In practical applications, noise-free magnetic powder clutches and vibration-free magnetic powder brakes often need to be used at the same time, and their combination can achieve more complex power control. For example, in winding machinery, magnetic powder brakes can achieve on-load braking, while magnetic powder clutches can realize fixed-speed operation when loaded, which can achieve more accurate and reliable operation of mechanical equipment and improve production efficiency.
