The reason for the case is that the axial torque force of air expansion is large, the gap between the original coupling and the key is generated, and the gap is getting larger and larger during operation, resulting in the relative movement of the shaft and the coupling, resulting in wear on the shaft. A rigid coupling is a torsionally rigid coupling that does not have any swing clearance even when subjected to load, and the rigid coupling transmits torque rigidly even when a load is generated by a deviation. The coupling has high requirements for the neutrality of the two shafts, and when the relative displacement of the two shafts exists, it will cause additional load in the machine, worsen the working situation, and wear out many parts.
