When the magnetic clutch is installed between the driving part and the starting part, it is not necessary to stop the driving position, and the starting part will make the connection and the cutting action according to its necessary reaction. The magnetic brake is a combination of a transmission unit (input shaft) and a driven unit (output shaft).

Magnetic powder brakes are also often used for dynamometer loading and braking of transmission machinery. Magnetic powder brakes and magnetic powder clutches are often paired.

Magnetic powder clutches and brakes use magnetic iron powder to transmit torque. Therefore, they have many advantages such as the flexibility of the fluid clutch and the high efficiency of the friction clutch connection. The magnetic powder brake can also be used for buffer starting and power attraction, and is also suitable for safety devices that prevent the load from exceeding.

When the active member is separated from the magnetic powder brake moving member, the active member rotates, and the driven member is stationary; the active member and the driven member are in an engaged state, and the active portion is rotated to follow the driven member. The magnetic powder clutch is generally used in a medium with an ambient temperature of -20-50% and a humidity of less than 85%. In a medium without explosion hazard, the coil voltage fluctuation does not exceed ±5% of the rated voltage.
