1. Electromagnetic clutch Controls the engagement and disengagement of the clutch by turning on and off the coil.

Electromagnetic clutch can be divided into: dry single-plate electromagnetic clutch, dry multi-plate electromagnetic clutch, wet multi-plate electromagnetic clutch, magnetic powder clutch, slip electromagnetic clutch and so on.

The working mode of the electromagnetic clutch can be further divided into: a combination of energization and power failure.

Dry single-plate electromagnetic clutch: When the coil is energized, a magnetic attraction "armature" piece is generated, and the clutch is in the engaged state; when the coil is powered off, the "armature" rebounds and the clutch is in a disengaged state.

Dry multi-plate, wet multi-plate electromagnetic clutch: the principle is the same as above, plus several friction compensation, the same volume torque is larger than the dry single-chip electromagnetic clutch, and the wet multi-plate electromagnetic clutch must be cooled by oil or other coolant. .


2. Magnetic powder clutch The magnetic powder is placed between the active and the driven parts. When the magnetic powder is not energized, the magnetic powder is in a loose state. When the power is applied, the magnetic powder is combined, and the active part and the driven part rotate at the same time. Advantage: The torque can be adjusted by adjusting the current, allowing for large slips. Disadvantages: The temperature rise is large when the slip is large, and the relative price is high.

Slip electromagnetic clutch: When the clutch is working, there must be a certain speed difference between the main and the slave parts to have torque transmission. The amount of torque depends on the strength of the magnetic field and the difference in rotational speed. The excitation current remains unchanged, and the rotational speed decreases drastically with increasing torque; the torque remains unchanged, the excitation current decreases, and the rotational speed decreases more severely.

The slip-type electromagnetic clutch has no mechanical connection between the main and driven components, no wear and tear, no magnetic powder leakage, no impact, and the excitation current can be adjusted to change the rotational speed, which is used as a continuously variable transmission, which is its advantage. The main disadvantage of this clutch is that eddy currents in the rotor generate heat that is proportional to the difference in rotational speed. The efficiency at low speed operation is very low, and the efficiency value is the ratio of the speed of the driven shaft, that is, η = n2 / n1.

The mechanical transmission system suitable for high-frequency operation can combine or separate the driven part and the active part under the condition of active part operation.

When the active member and the driven member are in a separated state, the active member rotates, and the driven member is stationary; the active member and the driven member are in an engaged state, and the active portion is brought to rotate with the driven member.

The electromagnetic clutch is generally used in a medium with an ambient temperature of -20-50% and a humidity of less than 85%. In a medium without explosion hazard, the coil voltage fluctuation does not exceed ±5% of the rated voltage. 3. Friction Clutch Friction clutch is the most widely used and oldest type of clutch.
