Pneumatic clutches for grinding machines often have the following two faults during the use of pneumatic clutches: First, the clutch does not slip during the starting process. The sliding friction is formed between the friction plate and the hub. If the brake time is too long, the friction plate may be seriously damaged, or the friction plate may be displaced to cause the mill to fail to start normally. Second, the brakes were not fully released during the parking process. Although the mill stops, but the release spring is not completely released, there is still contact between the friction plate and the hub. Under the driving of the main motor, sliding friction is formed between the friction plate and the hub, causing the friction plate to wear. Will cause the friction plate to burn.
Under normal circumstances, there are several reasons for the slipping of the pneumatic clutch of the grinding machine: First, the airbag pressure is insufficient. There is no sufficient static friction between the friction pad and the hub to cause the mill to rotate. The second is the pollution of the friction plate or the hub. Oil or grease contamination reduces the torque transmitted by the clutch. The mill is slipped with a pneumatic clutch. Third, the friction tile is not reset properly. Failure to fully release the airbag pressure during parking or failure of the release spring can result in a failure to properly reset the friction shoe.
