Tension controller associated with magnetic powder clutch
The magnetic powder clutch is a combination of a transmission unit (input shaft) and a driven unit (output shaft). The space between the two sets of cells is filled with granular magnetic powder (about 40 microns of rest). When the magnetic coil is not conducting, the torque will not be transmitted from the transmission shaft to the driven shaft. However, if the coil is electromagnetically energized, the magnetic powder will attract hardening due to the action of the magnetic force, and the torque will be transmitted between successive slidings. . The principle of the magnetic powder brake is similar to that of the magnetic powder clutch, except that the transmission unit is turned into a fixed unit.

The web tension control system is composed of magnetic powder brake, proportional amplification, power amplification, tension detection and the like. The system can manually select the pre-tension according to different paper tension requirements, set the "automatic" position during normal operation, adjust the tension to the pre-tension by "given", and the tension adjustment roller is in equilibrium. If the tension changes due to some interference, The tension adjusting roller is displaced, and the tension detector outputs a corresponding change signal. After the circuit is amplified, the braking torque of the magnetic powder brake is controlled to change accordingly, the tension changes accordingly, and the tension adjusting roller returns to the equilibrium state, thereby maintaining the tension stable. Taper tension control is achieved by measuring the coil diameter with a proximity switch.
