How the differential shaft works:
The central air pressure slip differential air shaft is a tension adjustable differential shaft, the differential ring slips independently, the differential shaft takes the precision hollow core ventilation spindle as the core, and the piston in the cavity is pushed by compressed air, so that the shaft core generates friction torque between the friction piece and the differential ring, and further drives the diagonal expansion piece on the inclined base to expand in the direction of the outer diameter, squeezes the winding cylinder, transmits the torque of the winding cylinder, so as to achieve constant tension winding, but the traditional differential slip shaft is difficult to quickly disassemble and install, thus affecting the use of the differential sliding shaft.

 

The main areas of application for differential shafts:
Slitting machine (slitting machine) is a reel of reel material slitting into multiple rolls of equipment, the application is very wide, and the differential shaft is usually an important part used in the lithium battery slitting machine (slitting machine), mainly used in the winding shaft, its main purpose is to manipulate the tension adjustment of the material in the winding process, and it is also used for unwinding shafts on special occasions.
The purpose is to use the principle of slippage of each slip ring on the differential axle to manipulate the tensile adjustment of the material in the winding process, so that the multiple coil barrels on the shaft always maintain uniformity, neatness and constant tension from the core to the outer layer to rewind and unwind on the shaft, and ensure the quality of the high coil by maintaining the appropriate tension of all coils when the reel is running. The application of the differential shaft effectively improves the speed, winding accuracy and automation of the slitting machine.

 

At present, the differential sliding shaft can be divided into four forms: central pneumatic pressure type, pneumatic side pressure type, mechanical side pressure type and inflatable type:
1. Although the inflatable differential shaft has a simple structure and convenient unloading, it is only suitable for coiling materials with small thickness error, small number of coils and large tension.
2. The mechanical side pressure slip shaft can only achieve constant torque control, and the tension error cannot be adjusted.
3. If there is a slip ring failure in the middle of the pneumatic side pressure differential shaft, the tension of the rear differential slip ring will be uncontrollable and the performance will not be stable enough.
4. The central pneumatic differential shaft is the highest performance differential shaft, which can accurately adjust and control the tension in a wide range, and can be used for machines with heavier rewinding and larger widths.

 

Daily maintenance and precautions for slip shafts:
1. During the use of the differential shaft, the operator needs to use the air gun to clean the whole shaft of the differential ring to clean up dust and debris;
2. In the process of loading and unloading, first in the case of flatulence, all the protruding keys are in a sinking state, and then the assembly or unloading of the material is carried out; Many manufacturers are still in a convex state because some of the slip rings that are not stuck are still in a convex state, or vigorously push off the large roll of materials, over time, this action will lead to part of the slip ring convex key inflexible, and finally the entire slip unit is scrapped.
3. After the slip shaft is used for a period of time, the ring at the tail of the slip shaft needs to be loosened, move more than 20mm outward, and then move the slip ring one by one in order, and at the same time, use the air gun to clean up the dust and debris.
Many manufacturers do not carry out regular cleaning and maintenance from beginning to end when using the slip differential shaft, which finally leads to excessive debris and dust, and under the action of the friction of the slip ring, the shaft slip ring is grinded, resulting in the scrapping or serious damage of the entire slip shaft.
4. In the process of using the slip shaft, because the slip ring rubs against the shaft, a certain amount of heat will be generated, which is a normal phenomenon, but if the heating is excessive, this is an abnormal phenomenon, and the excessive heating is because the friction is too serious.
Because the larger the roll diameter, the greater the tension required, if the air pressure is not large enough, that is, the tension is not large enough, the slip ring is overly slippery and heated, and there will be a lot of dust in the early stage because of excessive wear of the wool felt, and when the wool felt is worn out, it will directly wear out the airbag, and the slip shaft will leak.
Therefore, if the fever is excessive, it must be detected and treated early, and the tension of the machine must be adjusted to prevent more serious situations.
5. In the early days, many slitting machines are not equipped with material receiving racks, if the winding material is too heavy, and at the moment of unloading, it is completely in a unilateral cantilever state, under the action of material gravity, the whole slip shaft will be slowly deformed, the axis will become bent, and the more serious is the direct axial fracture.
Therefore, if your material is too heavy and there is no receiving rack, it is recommended that your company install a receiving rack as soon as possible, which not only protects the shaft, but also reduces the workload of employees and greatly improves safety.

 

Construction and customization requirements for differential shafts:
The sliding shaft is made of hardened and tempered die steel or aluminum alloy by hard oxidation, and the rubber expander is made of a heat- and wear-resistant polyurethane material by vulcanization, depending on the maximum tension requirement.
