Safety chucks are widely used in industrial equipment, in printing, film, laminating and other equipment, can quickly and conveniently load and unload materials, and effectively improve work efficiency and product quality. According to the structure, it can be divided into three types: shaft seat safety chuck, flange safety chuck, and sliding safety chuck.
It can also be divided into two types, oblique type safety chuck and flat type safety chuck, the use of the safety chuck is different, the specific use method is as follows:
Diagonal safety chuck: When the inclined push safety chuck needs to be loaded and unloaded, find the opening position of the square mouth, move the opening to the up, if the opening position is facing down, push away the safety chuck, the inflatable shaft and logistics will fall out, and there will be potential safety hazards. Move the opening position to push up and push back, and the safety chuck will open at this time, and you can load and unload
Horizontal push type safety chuck: when you need to load and unload, you should also find the square opening position, and then move the opening position to vertical upwards, the two hands are at the same level as the flatulence, and push back hard, you can open the safety chuck to load and unload the use of the safety chuck.
Choose the right safety chuck according to the following characteristics:
1) In the selection of safety chuck, ensure that the safety chuck model corresponds to the material load-bearing selection, if the safety chuck model is small, the safety chuck will wear out quickly or the equipment will run at high speed and be easy to fall off;
2) The safety chuck has a square mouth, a round mouth and a V mouth, and the square mouth, round mouth and V mouth can be used for the shaft head of the inflatable shaft, if the safety chuck mouth is not selected to match the shaft head of the inflatable shaft, then it can not be installed.

Structural features of the safety chuck:
1) Safety chucks are generally used in pairs, which are divided into the driving end (long axis part) and the supporting end (short axis part). The difference is that the driving end contains a protruding shaft connected to the motor/gear/sprocket/hand wheel and other driving mechanisms, and there is a positioning keyway on the shaft. Whereas the support end does not. The long or short shaft is mounted in the inner bore of the flange seat/corner seat, and is positioned and rotated by a pair of deep groove ball bearings. The flange seat/corner seat has mounting holes and positioning steps to match the equipment.
2) When working, manually push back to open the safety chuck disc, and place the square head of the inflatable shaft or other mandrel shaft head on the safety chuck bayonet from above. Reset the safety chuck disc to the retraction, and fix the shaft head of the inflatable shaft or mandrel to the center of the circle by using the plane and bayonet of the disc. When the active end (long axis part) of the equipment is rotated, the bayonet transmits the torque to the inflatable shaft or mandrel to drive the coil to rotate and meet the requirements of rewinding/unwinding.
3) The safety chuck is adjustable, and there are threaded holes inside the bayonet, which can compensate for the length deviation of the inflatable shaft or mandrel by adjusting the depth of the screw. Long service time and simple maintenance: bayonet high-frequency quenching treatment, parts can be used interchangeably, making it easy to maintain. High precision: chrome plating/blackening/quenching of parts makes it wear-resistant, high precision of parts, strong resistance to deformation, and small circumferential runout.
Installation and use of safety chucks:
1) Before installing the safety chuck, the safety chuck must be loaded into the lock nut, and then the lock nut equipped with the safety chuck must be gently screwed on the tool holder, adapter or spindle; In order to obtain the best performance, it is necessary to clean the safety chuck, the threaded part of the lock nut, the positioning surface and the cone before installing the safety chuck.
2) Safety is the most important consideration when using safety chucks. First, make sure that the jigs and chucks are properly installed and securely attached to the machine. When clamping the workpiece, it should be ensured that the workpiece is clamped evenly and securely, avoiding loosening or offset. Before operating the machine, it is important to check that the clamping system is properly closed and that there are no loose parts.
Cleaning and lubrication of safety chucks:
Cleaning: Clean the safety chuck regularly to remove dust, oil and other impurities from the surface, you can use a clean cloth or brush to gently wipe the surface of the chuck, avoid using organic solvents or corrosive cleaning agents to avoid damaging the surface coating of the chuck. For the parts inside the chuck, they can be cleaned with compressed air or a vacuum cleaner to ensure that there are no impurities left inside.
Lubrication: In order to ensure the normal operation of the safety chuck, it needs to be lubricated regularly, and an appropriate amount of lubricating oil or grease can be applied to the moving parts of the chuck, such as clamping screws, sliders, etc. It is very important to choose the right lubricating oil or grease, and you should choose products with good lubricating properties and anti-wear properties according to the use environment and requirements of the chuck, and at the same time, you should pay attention to the amount of lubricating oil or grease used to avoid too much or too little.
Maintenance and repair of safety chucks:
Maintenance: The safety chuck should be placed in a dry, ventilated, and non-corrosive gas environment when stored, avoiding direct sunlight and humid environment, so as not to affect the performance and life of the chuck. Specialized storage bins or shelves can be used to store the safety chucks, ensuring that the chucks are not crushed, bumped, or otherwise damaged. Even if the safety chuck is not in use during storage, it should be checked regularly to check for changes in the appearance of the chuck, if the clamping force is normal, and for signs of rust or corrosion. Proper maintenance and upkeep can be carried out if necessary.
Maintenance: If the safety chuck fails, such as insufficient clamping force, unable to loosen or unstable clamping, etc., it should be stopped immediately and troubleshooting, you can refer to the instruction manual of the chuck or consult professional and technical personnel to determine the cause of the fault and the solution.
